It's extremely disjointed and there is no reason to feel connected to any of the characters other than because they appeared in good DOW games before. You play all 3 factions, switching from one to another after each mission. Honestly, even without the DAK, I would be satisfied with 2 Allies and 1 Axis faction. But having Eldar as the third race instead of Tau, Necron, or Dark Eldar, is a horrible decision. I understand why Space Marines have to be in, and the Orks are everywhere so they earn a spot. The Warhammer 40k universe is so diverse. I will admit it would be nice if there are more unique mechanics, but I can't come up with anything yet. COH3 has all the mechanics from 2 minus blizzard, plus some more. + DOW3 cuts down mechanics from DOW 2, including dynamic cover, unit leveling up, and retreating. Total War Warhammer and even Men of War look far more cartoony than this. I don't understand why people think it looks cartoony. The screen-shaking has to be toned down, though. Explosions and effects look distinct but not overwhelming. Unit animations are as good as you can expect from Company of Heroes games (still very clunky but can be fixed). Company of Heroes 3 is brighter than 2 (since we are in the desert), but nothing so far looks completely out of place. + Graphic of DOW3 is cartoony and the unit animations and movements are horrible. A single Space Marine can kill 10 Orks without breaking a sweat and the trailer makes them look weak and pathetic. As a Space Marine fan, I am insulted by how many Space Marines die in the trailer compared to how many Orks. Dawn of War 3 trailer was made by someone with Space Marine dying fetish. + Company of Heroes 3's trailer shows the brutality of war but it's also quite uplifting. We haven't seen the full Commander roster yet but I am now certain there are at least 4 for each faction.ĭawn of War 3 was garbage from the very concept of it that no amount of fixing can make me play it. In terms of major gameplay contents, they seem to be all there. It's still unfinished, but I do think that most of the faults such as UI, screen shaking, animation bugs, and performance issues can be fixed up until the release (or after release). Company of Heroes 3, however, has not annoyed me. Guides: Official Beginners Guide - Steam guides - COH2.ORG guides - Micro Tips & Tricks SeriesĬustom Hotkeys scripts and windowed borderlessĭawn of War 3 hit all the wrong notes for me from the very trailer.
